Everyone has a unique part to play in seeing lives and communities transformed.

Where do you fit?

We’d love to invest in those who are called to lead, whether as part of church life, your workplace, or both.

Come and get stuck in here at St. Swithin’s and in the process develop your leadership skills, grow as a disciple and be released into your gifts.

Our dream is for you to be sent out equipped to revitalise the city & region, reach the younger generations and release disciple making disciples…

How does it work?

You’ll come and join the staff team, spending 3.5 days a week with us (including Sunday’s and Tuesday’s). Each week you’ll receive training in leadership and theology alongside serving and learning to lead in your main stream.

What will you get involved in?

You’ll choose one main stream (Rising Gen’s//18-25’s//Worship//Media & Production) this will be your main focus for the year. You’ll also get stuck into Alpha and Home throughout the year.

Who is it for?

Are you a school leaver, or a graduate, or just someone who wants to spend a year exploring you’re calling, developing your leadership skills and growing as a disciple making disciple, then LDY is for you.

When does it run?

LDY runs for 11 months, starting September 2019 and finishing July 2020, working on a termly structure.

How much does it cost?

It’s free. We want to invest in you for this year, however you will need to find accommodation and a way to support yourself financially; we’re happy to chat through how you might go about this.

‘It’s been so encouraging to see those on LDY growing in their gifting and confidence as they explore their identity and their calling. They are a real gift to the church and it’s wonderful to see lives and communities transformed as they each play their part in the wider vision of the church.’ - Vicky & Jim Prestwood

‘Being part of the team at St. Swithin’s is a real privilege and this year has enabled me to explore opportunities in leadership that I wouldn’t have even considered, but with the investment and support from the staff team and the LDY programme, I’ve been surprised at how much I’ve grown and developed.’ - Lauren Herbert
